Court grants bail to accused in 'human trafficking case'
Hyderabad, May 15 (UNI) A city court today granted bail to one of the accused and an aide of Rasheed, one of the alleged kingpins in the human trafficking case.
The 12th Additional Metropolitan Magistrate court granted bail to Mujafar Ali, who was a former city Corporator and the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) city unit leader.
Mujafar Ali was arrested by the Central Crime Station police, (CCS), probing the case in the state, on May 3. The same day Rasheed surrendered before the police in the city.
Four fake passports were seized from the house of Ali in police raids conducted the same day he was arrested.
Meanwhile, Rasheed was also produced before the court as he was not keeping well.
The court ordered the police to lodge the alleged kingpin in the chenchalguda jail. Rasheed was remanded to police custody for eight days on May 10 accepting the police petition filed to interrogate him in connection with the scam.
