Bangladeshi couple arrested in the city
Aurangabad, Maharashtra, May 15 (UNI) A Bangladeshi couple was arrested after they were found staying illegally in the city.
Police said Jaheda Nazmal Pokir (23) was working as a bar girl at a hotel in the city while her husband Nazmal Pokir was working as a painter. The couple have a four-year-old son Riyaz and were staying illegally in Boudhnagar area here for the last nine months.
Acting on a tip off, the police yesterday raided their residence and arrested them.
During their interrogation, the couple confessed they are from Bangladesh and had come to Aurangabad via Nagpur after entering India through Kolkata.
Two years back, the city police had raided a hotel and arrested many bar girls of whom 17 were from Bangladesh.
