New Delhi, May 14 (UNI) Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said today that the state government would seek the help of the Central agencies, if necessary, to trace the caller who made a telephone call to the police threatening to kill Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan in 24 hours.

"Since the call is traced to a foreign country, I have issued directions to inform the Central intelligence agency about the incident," Mr Balakrishnan told UNI here, adding that "we will seek central help, if necessary." He said the Additional Director General of Police (Intelligence) in Kerala has been asked to inquire into the incident.

Mr Balakrishnan, who is here in connection with an official engagement, said the security cover around Mr Achuthanandan, who had already been provided "Z" category security, would be further strengthened.

Meanwhile, it was indicated that the anonymous call originated from Saudi Arabia.

A constable on duty at the office of the Kozhikode city police early today received an anonymous call threatening to kill Mr Achuthanandan.
