Students Islamic Organisation to oppose sex education in schools
Gulbarga, May 14 (UNI) Student Islamic Organisation of India (SIOI) today said that it would vehemently oppose the introduction of sex education in primary and high schools.
Addressing a press conference here, SIOI state unit Secretary Md.Zubari said that the SIOI had discussed the matter with the leaders of ABVP, SFI and AISF all of whom had expressed resentment over the introduction of sex education in schools.
''Sex education is not an education, but seducing and misleading the tender aged boys and girls and it will have serious repercussions," he opined.
He said that sex education would create unnecessary curiosity among teenage students and attract them towards sex. ''The lessons of sex education will send wrong messages in teenaged students and it may provocate them to do experiments," he felt.
Mr Zubari informed that the SIOI would launch a ''national level'' campaign from May 15 to June 15 bring back dropouts to the schools. The activists would conduct a survey in slums about the school dropouts rates and counsel with the parents.
