Rs 70 lakh jewellery stolen from bank locker

Bhavnagar, May 14 (UNI) Jewellery worth Rs 70 lakh was stolen from the locker of Bhavnagar District Co-operative Bank's Vallabhipur branch.

The robbers yesterday stole the jewellery by using a duplicate key, police said today.

Investigating officer Harikrishna Patel told UNI ''It appears to be the job of an insider as the locker was opened using duplicate keys.'' He said ''Only one locker was broken into while the remaining five were untouched.'' The dog squad was also called in today to aid the investigations, police sources said.
