Nitish Kumar's wife dies following pneumonia

New Delhi, May 14 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's wife Manju Sinha died here tonight following acute pneumonia and chest infection.

Ms Sinha was 55. She is survived by her husband and a son.

Ms Sinha, a teacher in Patna, was admitted to Max Hospital for the past 15 days for treatment of pneumonia and severe infection in chest.

She was flown in from Patna in the beginning of this month for expert medical treatment and was put on a ventilator after she complained of trouble in breathing.

The Chief Minister was present at her bed side when Ms Sinha breathed her last.
