Mayawati removes chairmen of all corporations

Lucknow, May 14 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government has decided to remove all the chairmen, vice-chairmen of corporations and other institutions appointed during the previous Samajwadi party regime, who are yet to resign after the change in guard.

The state cabinet today decided to issue a Government Order(GO) to scrap the posts of these chairmen and vice-chairmen who are yet to put in their papers.

State Cabinet Secretary Shashank Shekhar Singh said here that the government had to take the harsh decision as only four chairpersons out of the total 64, have tendered their resignations.

He said with the issuances of the GO, departmental principal secretaries or secretaries will be asked to take charge of these corporations or institutions.
