Emkay clocks a net profit of Rs 10.37 crore

Mumbai, May 14 (UNI) Emkay Share and Brokers Limited posted a net profit of Rs 10.37 crore for the financial year 2006-07 as against Rs 15.45 crore for the previous year.

The board of directors has declared a equity dividend of 12.5 per cent.

The company recorded a consolidated total income of Rs 64.10 crore for the current fiscal as against Rs 47.60 crore for the previous year.

During the last fiscal, the company added 115 new outlets. The total outlets of the company stand at 178 across India.

As a diversifaction measure, Emkay has formed a wholly owned subsidiary Emkay Insurace Brokers Ltd to carry out the business of direct insurance broking.
