Orissa Congress to expose failure of Naveen govt-Swami
Bhubaneswar, May 13 (UNI) Orissa Pradesh Congress Committee(OPCC) will launch agitational programme including the civil disobedience movement to expose alleged corruption and misutilisation of Central fund by Naveen Patnaik government in the state.
AICC General Secretary V Narayan Swami, also in-chrage of Orissa affairs who attended the party's extended executive body meeting here, told newspersons that the party would take up several issues both inside and outside the Assembly to apprise the people regarding alleged failure of the Patnaik government in all fronts.
He said corruption and misutilisation of Central fund meant for various welfare programmes of the common people would be the main focus on which the party would resort to agitational programmes in the state.
Mr Swami alleged the ruling BJD had spent huge money during the Panchayat elections and demanded that the Chief Minister who always claimed himself to be the honest man must clarify from where he got the huge money for his party to contest the panchayat elections.
The AICC general secretary said even the BJP, the alliance partner of the BJD, had publicly admitted that the BJD had spent crores of rupees in the Panchayat elections.
On being asked about the demand on change of PCC leadership in the state, Mr Swami quipped saying that he would communicate the ground realities to the party high command.
