JK: Gov honours students of various courses of Uty

Jammu, May 13: The Chancellor of the University of Jammu, Governor Lt Gen S K Sinha (retd), today honoured 135 students with the degree of doctor of Philosophy and 109 with the master of Philosophy degree at the 12th convocation held in the General Zorawar Singh auditorium of the varsity.

Besides this, 159 toppers in the various streams of graduate courses conducted by the University from 2003 to 2005 were also conferred upon gold medals and other prizes for academic excellence.

First Chancellor of the University and sitting member parliament Karan Singh was the chief guest on the occasion while pro-chancellor Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and vice-chancellor Amitabh Mattoo also shared the dais.

UNI
