State-level NCP workshop to strengthen the party for 2009 elections

Aurangabad, May 12 (UNI) Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) will conduct a state-level one-day workshop on June 3 at Aurangabad to prepare the party for the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections scheduled in 2009 in the State.

Addressing a press conference, party's District President Kishor Patil said party President Sharad Pawar will inaugurate the workshop, which will be attended by Union Aviation Minister Praful Patel, Union minister of State Suryakant Patil, State President Arun Gujarati, state ministers, party MPs, MLAs, ZP presidents and others.

In the workshop, priority will be given to the restructuring of the party as well as a time-bound programme will also be chalked out in view of the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections scheduled in the State in 2009, he added.

Taking into consideration, party's success in the local self government, corporation and municipal corporation elections during 2006-07, its emphasis will be to strengthen the party so as to get the total success in future, he said.
