Sikh Federation protests demolition of heritage hill

Moga, May 12 (UNI) Sikh Students Federation President Gurcharan Singh Grewal today criticised the Swaraj Mazda company for allegedly destroying the heritage hill relating to Maharaja Ranjit Singh in Asron village of Nawanshahar district where it was setting up its unit.

Mr Grewal said that Sikhs had an emotional attachment with historic sites relating to the Khalsa Raj of Maharaja Ranjit Singh.

He threatened the company of ''direct action'' for allegedly playing with the sentiments of Sikhs. The action could include forcing the company to close its unit, he said.
