Kamal Farouqui becomes Chairman of Delhi Minority Commission

New Delhi, May 12 (UNI) Prominent leader of the Muslim Personal Law Board and social activist, Kamal Farouqui, has been appointed the Chairman of the Delhi Minority Commission.

Mr Farouqui will hold the office as the Chairman for a period of three years, according to a notification issued by Lt Governor Tejender Khanna.

He is actively involved in eradication of illiteracy among the Muslims and is affiliated with a number of educational institutions.

Mr Farouqui is also Director of Central Bank of India and Executive Council member of the Ch Charan Singh University.
