Gujarat CPI hosts seminar on 1857 war of independence

Ahmedabad, May 12 (UNI) The Gujarat unit of the Communist Party of India today hosted a seminar on the ''150th anniversary of the first war of independence''.

Gujarat CPI secretary A N Shaikh, speaking on the occasion, informed that his party will organise various programmes across the state to promote communal harmony.

Gujarati daily ''Lok Juval'' editor Chintaman Pajankar and Prof Sultan Ahmed expressed their views on the occasion.
