Delhi BJP's demonstration on water crisis outside DJB office

New Delhi, May 12 (UNI) The Delhi BJP today held a huge demonstration outside the office of the Delhi Jal Board to highlight the water crisis being faced by Delhiites.

Hundreds of workers of the BJP women's morcha and the women councillors broke earthem pitchers outside the DJB office as a mark of protest against the water crisis in the city.

Addressing the protestors, Delhi pradesh BJP chief Harshvardhan and BJP mahila morcha pesident Vishakha Shailani said,''a government which could not even provide drinking water to people in nine years of its rule has no right to continue in office.'' Shouting slogans against Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, who is also the chairperson of the Delhi Jal Board, the protestors demanded her resignation.

''In spite of being the chairperson of the DJB, the Chief Minister has not been able to provide sufficient water to the people of Delhi. This shows that the state Government has failed on all fronts,'' Dr Harshvardhan said and warned that the Chief Minister should immediately arrange sifficient water for Delhi otherwise she would be removed from her chair.
