Punglwa, May 12: Reacting for the first time on media reports of Chinese intrusion near the Indo-China border areas in Arunachal Pradesh, Defence Minister A K Antony today categorically denied such reports.

Mr Antony was here to inaugurate a Sainik School at Punglwa, Nagaland (SSPN) this morning.

Addressing the media, he said there had been all along disputes on the Indo-China borders, which were being discussed to resolve the issues.

But the report of intrusion in Arunachal Pradesh was baseless, he clarified.

The Defence Minister hoped the border problem with China would be resolved soon as bilateral talks between the leaders of both the countries were going on.

Mr Antony said that India's relations with neighbouring countries like Myanmar, Bangladesh and Bhutan were improving gradually and the government was getting 'positive response' from them.

He was confident that relations with all the neighbouring countries, including the Association of South East Asian Nations(ASEAN) countries would improve further because of initiatives taken by the Union Government.
