Ulmas join Dukhtaran-e-Millat to oppose sex education in Kashmir
Srinagar, May 11 (UNI) The Muslim Ulmas today joined Dukhtaran-e- Millat (Daughters of Faith) to oppose introduction of sex education in the educational institutions in Kashmir.
''We strongly condemn the move by the government to introduce sex education in the valley,'' the muslim ulmas and other priests said at the friday congregation in different mosques and Khankhas this afternoon.
Asking people to register their protest against the move they said it would be opposed ''tooth and nail''.
The chairperson of Dukhtaran-e- Millat, a women's separatist organisation Asiya Andrabi has threatened to launch an agitation if sex education is introduced in schools in Kashmir.
They expressed concern over the ''criminal'' silence by the leaders of different organisations.
The ulmas threatened to take to streets if any such decision was taken.
They also urged people to visit the educational institutions of their children to protect them from ''nefarious designs to perpetuate obscenity and vulagarity in the society.'' UNI
