Timesjob.com targets 15,000 jobs in 'Jumbo Job Fair'

New Delhi, May 11 (UNI) To provide youngters with their dream job, web portal timesjobs.com today organised a three-day job fair beginning here today with a target to generate 15,000 job offers.

Over 1,500 recruiters including HCL Technologies, NIIT, EXL, HSBC, Genpact, Dell, Jet Airways, Spicejet and IBM Daksh are participating in the company's third Jumbo Job Fair.

''Such career fairs provide a platform to youngsters to get a job of their choice. They should grab this opportunity,'' Minister of State for Industries Ashwani Kumar told UNI.

Over one lakh candidates have already registered for the fair coorganised by ITPO and software solution provider HCL.

Sectors such as ITeS, retail, sales and marketing, banking, insurance, IT, telecom, services and professional education have participated in the mega event.

Corporate big shots like ITC Welcome Hotel Marriot, Bajaj Capitals and 100 other companies have participated.

''The enthusiasm with which the job fair is being received by the country shows that India is going to emerge as the world's premium source of quality manpower,'' President of Times Business Solutions R Sundar said.

The job fair also provides an ideal platform for recruiters for sourcing talent at levels of the organisation.

In addition, present at the fair was a large contingent of professional education institutes for those who wish to hone their skills.
