Thailand not to take legal action against Google

Bangkok, May 11: The Thai government will not take legal action against Google after the leading global internet company agreed to remove offensive video clips from its popular YouTube Web site.

Thai Information and Communications Minister Sitthichhai Pookaiyaudom said Google vice-president Kent Walker had informed in a letter to the Thai government that video clips deemed offensive to the monarchy would be removed from the site.
