Peace rally organised to commemorate 150 years of 1857

Mumbai, May 11 (UNI) A peace rally, to commemorate 150 years of the 1857 freedom struggle, was taken out from August Kranti Maidan to Mani Bhavan in south Mumbai.

Retired Justice C S Dhramadhikari, Mahatma Gandhi's grandson Tushar Gandhi and Mumbai University Vice Chancellor Dr Vijay Khole were present on the occasion.

Later in their speeches, they recalled the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters in 1857 and paid them rich tributes.
