Home Ministry officials review Manipur situation

Imphal, May 10 (UNI) A meeting of the Strategic Operation Group was held at the Imphal Secretariat here to discuss law and order situation in Manipur.

The meeting, held last evening, was attended by Special Secretary (Internal Security) of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Mahendra Kumbat and Director MHA (NE) AK Goyal.

''Senior state officials, including Chief Secretary Jarnail Singh, the top brass of the army, police, Assam Rifles, BSF and CRPF attended the meeting,'' official sources said.

Later Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh discussed the law and order situation with the officials.
