HC declines to stay 'stop memo' against Abad Hotels
Kochi, May 11 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today declined to stay the 'stop memo' issued by the Revenue Divisional Officer against the Abad Hotels, halting the construction work of their hotel in Munnar.
Justice Antony Dominic observed that there was nothing wrong in the order issued by the authorities concerned.
Meanwhile, a Division Bench comprising Justices M Sasidharan Nambiar and Antony Dominic today adjourned the public interest petition filed by the Munnar Restoration Society, seeking directions to the state government to take appropriate steps to remove all illegal constructions on river banks and roads in Munnar.
The court observed that there was no urgency for the petition to be heard as the government was already taking steps to remove the encroachments and adjourned the case to May 23.
