Ford launches nation wide customer care number
Bangalore, May 11: The Ford India, a subsidiary of the Ford Motor Company, one of the global leaders in automobile manufacturing, today launched nation wide toll free customer care number.
Speaking newsmen after the launch, The Ford India President and Managing Director Arvind Mathew said that more focus has been given on building customer-dealership by providing several value added services to boost the company's market share in the country.
He said that the nation wide toll free customer care number, a new facility would provide round-the-clock access to Ford customer.
The customers with BSNL and MTNL connections can now reach the Ford Customer Relationship Center located at its plant at Chennai. The new service would supplement the ongoing dealer-customer relationship mechanism and each customer would also have a unique identity number for all future correspondence, he added.
Mr Mathew said that at present 44 dealer touch points in the Southern region and was looking forward to add more facilities to offer value added services including financial support. "Company sees Southern region as most important to scale its growth". Due to adopting aggressive market representation drive Ford India has grown from 117 dealerships and likely to touch 135 by this year end", he added.
He said that, the company which has manufacturing facility in Chennai, has sold over 16000 units in 2006. The South Africa remains the biggest market in the overseas market.
Earlier Mr Mathew also inaugurated a world class Brand Retail Ford Dealership facility in the city.
