Court orders attachment of property of a Bihar MLA and three police
Chhapra, May 11 (UNI) A local court today issued warrants of attachment of property against JD(U) MLA Ram Pravesh Rai and three police officers in connection with a manhandling case.
First Class Judicial Magistrate Shatrughan Singh issued the warrants on a complaint, filed by one Bhartendu Narain Singh alleging that his son Rajeev Narain Singh was manhandled by the MLA and three police officials way back in 1994.
Incidentally, today's warrant was issued following the accused's refusal to comply with all previous orders asking for their personal appearance in court in connection with the case.
The court also directed DIG of Saran range Jaglal Chaudhary and the Police Superintendent for immediate execution of the warrants.
Three police officers against whom the order was issued were posted at Town police station in Saran district when the incident of MLA's manhandling took place at Dahivana village more than a decade ago.
