Antoine Villeneuve to be new MD of Walt Disney Television India

Mumbai, May 11 (UNI) Antoine Villeneuve has been named as senior vice president and managing director of Walt Disney Television India.

The announcement was made today by Disney Channel Worldwide president Rich Ross.

Mr Villeneuve will oversee Disney Channel, Toon Disney, Jetix and the newly acquired Hungama kids' television channels in India.

Mr Villeneuve will relocate to Mumbai and assume his new role from June 1. He will report to Mr Ross.

''Antoine brings a wealth of media experience and knowledge of the company to his new position and will increase our strong television channel business in India, helping to marshal the many opportunities our channels and content offer to other businesses in The Walt Disney Company,'' Mr Ross said.

For the past three years, he has been vice president and managing director for Jetix France, part of Jetix Europe, which is majority-owned by The Walt Disney Company, he added.
