10 girl students hospitalised after food-poisoning

Jammu, May 11 (UNI) Ten girl students of Jammu University have been hospitalised following food-poisoning after they ate ice-cream near their hostel, official sources said here today.

The girls had eaten ice-cream near their hostel in Sunjwa area of Jammu city last evening and had started vomiting, police sources said.

The hostel authorities and senior varsity officials rushed to the hostel and shifted the ailing girls to the government medical college and hospital where their condition is said to be stable, sources added.

After registering a criminal case the city police have launched an operation to track the ice-cream vendor.
