Uganda seeks Guj Govt's help to set up Kidney Institute
Ahmedabad, May 10 (UNI) Uganda Minister of Internal Affairs Dr Ruhakana Rugunda and Gujarat Health Minister Ashok Bhatt today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to set up a kidney institute in Uganda on lines of the Kidney Institute here.
Mr Bhatt said, ''The Kidney Institute in Ahmedabad will provide training to doctors in Uganda in dialysis, laboratory technology, nephrology, urology, radiology, renal transplant, pathology and immunology.'' Dr Rugunda appreciated the efforts put in by Dr H L Trivedi of Kidney Institute in Ahmedabad. He also praised the efforts of the Gujarati community in Uganda towards the economical development of his nation.
