Silver Storm plans Rs 150-cr farm tourism projects
Kochi, May 10 (UNI) As part of its diversification plans, Kerala-based Silver Storm Theme Park will be setting up Rs 150-crore eco-friendly projects to promote farm tourism in the State.
Talking to mediapersons here today, its Managing Director A I Shalimar said talks were on with two UK and UAE-based companies to execute three projects in Munnar, Wayanad and Athirapally.
''The eco-friendly projects will be set up in 40 to 50 acres of land by giving due importance to tribal construction. Importance will be given to reduce all types of pollution in the area,'' he added.
Mr Shalimar said the Park would also introduce a Science Park and Themed Interactive Multi-level Water Play System in August. The Interactive Play System, introduced for the first time in South India, would feature rides like water slides, cranks, water canons, net and spray which gives control to the riders.
''The main aim of the Science Park is to bring about a total shift from entertainment to 'edutainment' and help to inculcate scientific temper in children through play and fun,'' he noted.
Besides, the Park would also introduce a 6,000 sqft aqua dance floor with 10,000 watt sound, he added.
