Rajasthan Cabinet praises Vasundhara Raje for bagging UN Award

Jaipur, May 10 (UNI) Rajasthan state cabinet today congratulated Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje for bagging the coveted UN Women Togetherness Award and commended her efforts in the direction of women empowerment and welfare of weavers and spinners.

The cabinet adopted a formal resolution to praise the Chief Minister, at its meeting held here this evening under her chairmanship.

The resolution said Ms Raje's achievement had given global recognition to women empowerment programmes being implemented in the state.

''It is a matter of pride that Ms Raje has become the second Indian after Ila Bhatt to win this award,'' the cabinet observed.
