Patiala beat Mohali on first-innings lead

Mohali, May 10 (UNI) Patiala defeated Mohali on the basis of their first innings lead of 11 runs in the Punjab State Inter- District Under 17 Tournament for the M L Markan Trophy at the PCA Stadium here today.

The match petered into a tame draw.

Patiala won the toss and elected to bat. They were dismised for 162 in 86.5 overs. Mohit Mohindra (69) and Robin Dhillon (37) were the main scorers for Patiala.

Mohit Bedi (2 for 30) and Lovepreet (3 for 50) were the main wicket takers for Mohali.

In reply Mohali could score only 151 runs in 71.3 overs.Harpreet Golu (21), Rupinder Singh (21) and Abhilash Rathore (54 not out) were the main scorers for Mohali. Mohit Mohindra (5 for 32), Prince Rana (3 for 18) and Amiteshwar Singh (2 for 32) were the main wicket takers for Patiala.

In their second innings Patiala scored 22 for 2 at the final draw of stumps.
