The Rajiv Internet Kiosks would be used to provide information on market prices of farm products.

From this coming khariff, Andhra Pradesh Markfed would provide fertilisers and other inputs directly at the doorsteps of the farmers, he announced at a press conference here.

It proposed to enter into an MoU with its Kerala counterpart and major temples in the state for supply of red chillies, paddy or rice, and pulses on continuous and long term basis.

With assistance from the Centre, it proposed to construct 50 godowns in the state. Bufferstock of potato would be maintained in cold storages to ensure better prices for both farmers and to consumers, he said.

Following the successful procurement of maize through women SHGs the Federation would involve them in procurement of pulses and other agriculture commodities too, he added.
