Husband set ablaze by wife and in-laws

Hoshiarpur, May 10 (UNI) A man was allegedly set ablaze by his wife, mother-in-law and brother-in-law at Kasba Mohalla in Dasuya yesterday, police here today said.

According to the police sources, Harmesh Kumar (35) in his complaint alleged that his wife Shama alias Umma, mother-in-law Kanta and brother-in-law Vinod Kumar sprinkled kerosene on him while he was resting at his house and set him ablaze.

He suffered serious burn injuries and was admitted at the Civil Hospital in Dasuya.

A case under sections 307 and 34 of the IPC has been registered against the alleged culprits. However no arrests have been so far.
