Heavy rains forecast in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala
Pune, May 10 (UNI) Heavy to very heavy rains or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, while heavy rains or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Kerala.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Orissa, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep, and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal and coastal Karnataka.
Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalseema and Tamil Nadu.
Mainly dry weather will prevail over Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and interior Karnataka.
Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of south coastal Andhra Pradesh, north Tamil Nadu and at isolated places in Vidarbha.
Hot day conditions also prevailed in some parts of west Rajasthan and at isolated places in Vidarbha and Telangana.
Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in east Rajasthan, some parts of Himachal Pradesh, Konkan, Goa and coastal Karnataka, and were above normal in Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan, north Kerala, some parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, west Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch, Telangana and in remaining parts of north coastal Tamil Nadu.
They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Gangetic West Bengal, north Orissa, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, north Madhya Pradesh, some parts of Bihar, south coastal Tamil Nadu and Kerala, and were below normal in Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab and in some parts of south Gujarat and south interior Karnataka. They were normal over the rest of the country.
Heavy rains or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Assam and Meghalaya, and at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Punjab. Rain or thundershowers have also occurred at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep.
