Dhavlikar, Madkaikar, 6 BJP nominees file papers

Panaji, May 10 (UNI) Cooperation Minister Ramakrishna Dhavlikar (MGP) and Transport Minister Pandurang Madkaikar were among the 11 people who filed their nomination papers for the June 2 Goa elections on the third day of filing nominations today.

Three former BJP ministers and three former BJP legislators were among those who filed their nominations. With this, the total number of candidates who have filed their nominations so far has risen to 12. The last day for filing nominations is May 15.

Mr Dhavlikar has filed his papers from Madkai, Mr Madkaikar (Cumbarjua), Francis De Souza (Mapusa), Vinay Tendulkar (Savordem), Dayanand Mandrekar (Siolim), Prakash Velip (Quepem), Puti Gaonkar (Valpoi), Anjali Srikant Malik (Calangute), Vijay Pai Khot (Canacona), Jenita Madkaikar (Cong-Dummy) and independent Narayan Karekar (Mapusa).
