Court asks for affidavit on theft incident from CM's office
Shimla, May 10 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh High Court today directed the Home secretary, DGP and Shimla SP to file affidavits in the alleged theft incident from the state Chief Minister's office recently.
The court, in its order, asked these officials to file affidavits, explaining the whole incident in which a suitcase full of money went missing from the CM's office.
The court issued orders following a PIL, which alleged that the case was being hushed up since it involved the Chief Minister's office, while the incident should be probed thoroughly.
The petitioner, in its petition said, if this was true why was no FIR lodged in this case.
The court after hearing the arguments of the petitioner issued notices to the officers and posted the matter for June 12.
