Company Law Tribunal after clearance from the court--PC Gupta
Jaipur, May 10 (UNI) The UPA government will set up the National Company Law Tribunal with its benches in various states after clearance from the Supreme Court, Union Company Affairs Minister Prem Chand Gupta said here today.
Talking to reporters, Mr Gupta said the government wanted to set up the tribunal in New Delhi to entrust it with the functions of the Company Law Board, BIFR and other such bodies. The government also wanted to set up its benches in various state capitals, including Jaipur.
However, the matter presently is sub judice. The case against the move is in the final stage of the hearing before the Supreme Court and the government would go ahead with the move after getting clearance from the court, he said.
