Kolkata, May 10 (UNI) Acknowledging the Forward Bloc's appeal to take part in all party meeting, the SUCI today said the proposed meeting on Nandigram impasse could not succeed unless the Bhumi Uchched Pratirodh Committee (BUPC) was participated.

SUCI's state secretary Provash Ghosh told a news conference here that his party was invited by FB's state secretary Ashoke Ghosh to take part in the proposed meeting on Nandigram. " But I told him (Ashoke Ghosh) that without having the BUPC in the meeting on Nadigram it would be a futile effort".

Bypassing the BUPC and calling the Trinamool Congress or the SUCI on the strife torn Nandigram issue, the efforts would come into a nought, Mr Ghosh opined.

He alleged that the people of Nandigram had lost faith in the police and the CPI(M) and now it was important for the government to book the March 14 culprits and announce compensation and rehabilitation package for victims.

"We will also invite the BUPC for joining the meeting" Mr Ghose quoting the FB leader as saying.

The SUCI's participation in the all party meet would be decided after its state committee meeting, Mr Ghosh said.

Mr Ghosh said he had telephony discussions with the FB leader.
