About 30 unemployed members of paramedical arrested in Kashmir
Srinagar, May 10 (UNI) Police today arrested about 30 members of unemployed paramedical association who were protesting near here, demanding adjustment under Rehbar-e-Sehat (ReS) in government hospitals.
The unemployed para-medicos took to streets at Abi-Guzar near here alleging that government has failed to provide them jobs.
As they were moving towards main road, police swung into action and stopped them. However, the agitated paramedical insisted that they be allowed to move towards the civil secretariat, seat of the government, but police resorted to lathicharge to disperse them.
Later, 30 of them were taken into preventive custody and lodged in Kothibagh police station.
The para-medicos alleged that they have completed their training and are unemployed for lasr five to ten years.
They demanded that they should be adjusted against vacant posts in different government hospitals, health center's and dispensaries under ReS.
