8 dead, 3 injured in TN collision

Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu, May 10 (UNI) At least eight people were killed on the spot and three seriously injured when a state-owned transport corporation bus collided with van at Sabalaperi village on the Tirunelveli-Madurai National Highway here today.

Police said the dead included four women and two children.

Those who sustained injuries were admitted to the Government Hospital at Kovilpatti and a private hospital at Tirunelveli.

The identity of the victims were yet to be ascertained.
