27 couples married off at mass marriage ceremony

Anand, May 10 (UNI) In a mass marriage ceremony today, 27 couples tied the nuptial knot at Ratanpura village, 15 km from here.

The marriages, conducted by the 'Patidar samaj', was unique as the couples took a pledge to shun foeticide. All the couples were from Charotar region (Anand and Kheda districts).

Umreth Santram Mandir Gandeshdasji Maharaj blessed the couples. He praised the efforts of the Paditdar samaj for working to achieve a noble cause.

Umreth MLA Vishnubhai Patel was present at the ceremony.
