TRS MLA says he met Rashid at Narendra's office
Hyderabad, May 9 (UNI) Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) MLA K Lingaiah today reportedly confessed to meeting Rashid, the alleged kingpin in the human trafficking case, at the office of suspended senior TRS leader and former Union Minister A Narendra, whose name also figured in the scam unearthed in the aftermath of BJP MP Babubhai Katara's arrest in New Delhi.
According to sources here, the TRS MLA said Dilip, a close associate of TRS President K Chandrasekhara Rao, had introduced Rashid to him.
Mr Lingaiah reportedly confessed to attending a visa interview at the US consulate in Chennai on January 21 this year along with the Gujarati woman whose photographs were fixed on the fake passport obtained in his wife Tara's name.
Meanwhile, Mr Lingaiah told newspersons at the court premises after he was remanded to judicial custody that ''I am not at all involved in the fake passport scam. Rashid is totally responsible for it.'' UNI
