SX4 to be launched in Europe next month

Jaipur, May 9 (UNI) Suzuki Motor Corp, the parent company of Maruti Udyog Ltd (MUL), will launch its new A3 segment premium car SX4 in Europe next month.

The sedan has already made its debut in China and is being launched simultaneously in India and Japan, MUL General Manager (North Region) Mayank Pareek told reporters here today.

He said that the company was planning to launch the car in the US later in autumn.

Expressing satisfaction over the market response to MUL's three new models -- WagonR Duo, Zen Estilo and Swift Diesel -- launched last year, Mr Pareek said SX4 sedan would enable the company to reinforce its presence in A3 segment and enhance its leadership position.

Mr Pareek, however, said the company presently was not planning to bring a diesel variant of SX4 sedan.

On the market position in India, Mr Pareek said it had so far rolled out over six million cars on Indian roads.
