Six killed in a road accident in Meghalaya
Shillong, May 9 (UNI) At least six people, including two policemen, were killed and three injured when the vehicle carrying them fell into a gorge in Meghalaya's Tryna village, about 60 km away from here today.
The vehicle was en route to Shillong from Bholaganj near the Indo-Bangla border.
Sub-Divisional Police officer of Sohra Mary T Sangma told UNI over the phone the deceased included Bholaganj Police outpost Sub-Inspector P Rajkumar and Constable K Singh.
Ms Sangma said the injured had been hospitalised at Sohra.
The cause of the accident was yet to be ascertained.
