Rural Bank employees nationwide protest on May 15

Basti, May 9 (UNI) Over 10,000 Rural Bank employees from all over India would stage a 'dharna' at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on May 15 to protest the inequality in pension amount.

Talking to UNI here, All India Regional Rural Bank Employees Association national spokesperson K K Srivastava said ''as per directions of the Supreme Court, the Rural Bank employees are getting salary and allowances similar to commercial banks, but pension is being paid according to provisions of the Factory Act.'' He advocated that the employees should get pension similar to those of nationalised banks.
