Raymond provides a new impetus to its retail network
Ahmedabad, May 9 (UNI) The textile and apparel major, Raymond, as part of the aggressive retail expansion strategy, has decided to increase the retail network to at least 950 stores across the country in the next three years.
Addressing reporters here today, Retail and FMCG President Aniruddha Deshmukh said, Raymond has been the pioneer in organised retail business in the country and we continue to push aggressively on this front to achieve the 950-store mark by 2010. With over 27 stores overseas, besides 328 stores across the country.
He said, that with a strong presence in 170 cities across India, the Middle East and South Asia, The Raymond Shop (TRS) has been providing the best to Indian and International fashion offering a constant stream of fashionable and innovative collections.
He claimed that it is the only company in India to cross one million sq.ft of self controlled retail space in the business of lifestyle and fashion.
Mr Deshmukh said ''we had a successful retail meet today in Ahmedabad and for further strengthening of its robust retail presence, we have decided to double up its retail network of TRS to 44 stores in the next two years in Gujarat. In the growing challenges, we had to concentrate more on delivery of the product'', he added.
