RAdm Sunil Lanba takes over as Chief of Staff
Kochi, May 9 (UNI) Rear Admiral Sunil Lamba today took charge as the Chief of Staff of the Southern Naval Command here.
According to an official statement, RAdm Lamba, an alumni of the National Defence Academy, commissioned in the Indian Navy in 1978, took over from Rear Admiral Rajender Singh.
A special Navigator, RAdm Lamba had commanded Indian Naval Ships Kakinada (Mine Sweeper), Himigiri (Frigate), Ranvijay and Mumba (Missile Destroyer). He was the Fleet Operations Officer of the Western Fleet.
RAdm Rajender Singh would move to Mumbai as the Flag Officer Offshore Defence Advisory Group (FODAG).
