Parliament members pay rich floral tributes to Gurudev Rabindranath

New Delhi, May 9 (UNI) Members of Parliament paid rich floral tributes to Nobel Laureate Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore on his 146th birth anniversary today.

Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee was the first one to pay tribute to Gurudev at his portrait in the Central hall of Parliament house.

UPA Chairperson and Congress President Sonia Gandhi, External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Parliamentary Affairs Minister P R Dasmunsi, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs B K Handique, Minister of State for Finance Pawan Kumar Bansal, K Venkatapathy and Smt Subbulakshmi Jagadeesan and a host of other union ministers and members of Parliament were among others to pay tributes to the Nobel Laureate.
