Pakistani fined by Kerala court for illegal entry
Kochi, May 9 (UNI) Pakistani national Mohammed Amir Salman, an MNC employee arrested here last month for illegal entry, has been fined Rs 5,000 by a lower court.
The chief judicial first class magistrate yesterday also directed Salman to report to the Foreigners Registration Officer (FRO) so that he could be sent back to Pakistan.
Salman, a high-level official with an MNC, was arrested on April 18 from a luxury hotel for visa violation as he was not authorised to visit Kochi but only Mumbai, Delhi, Gurgaon and Chennai.
He was produced before the lower court on April 19. The court granted him conditional bail and directed him to appear before the police every day between 1000 hrs. and noon.
