Lecturer running fake certificates business arrested
Jammu, May 9 (UNI) A government school lecturer has been arrested by police for his alleged involvement in making fake certificates of class 8 and 9 in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said today.
Acting on a tip-off, police arrested Mohd Sayeed Choudhary, resident of Dudasanwalla, from his house at Rajouri last evening and recovered fake certificates, stamps of the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri, Head Masters of Government High Schools Dudasan and Dungi Barahamana and fake letter heads of these schools carrying 100 leafs each, from his possession.
According to reports, he had already issued 46 fake certificates.
Two fictitious certificates of class 8 and 9 made on the names of Imran Khan and Mohammad Khan were also seized from the possession of the lecturer.
The lecturer was reportedly charging Rs 1,500 to Rs 5,000 for issuing fake certificates.
Police have registered a case against the lecturer.
