IBA, ICC and MasterCard launches financial know-how website

Mumbai, May 9 (UNI) India Bank's Association (IBA) in association with India Cards Council (ICC) and MasterCard Worldwide, today launched its financial know-how website for financial information and guidance.

The website, www.money4you.in, offers comprehensive personal finance information including tips on how to manage money and balance spending with saving. Making more userfriendly icon includes easy financial tools, budget calculators and an interactive section with on-line virtual financial wizard 'Mr Mani.' IBA inssisted to take finacial education initiatve for empowering consumers with personal financial management skills. Initally, in the first phase of the initiative, 150 member bankers of IBA will provide link to this portal to the consumers.

''The portal is India's first of its kind web-based consumer education initiative with an objective to empower average person with financial information and guidance to make iformed decisions,'' Said cheif executive of IBA, H N Sinor.

Calling it first phase initiative of fair practices, he said that the financial education initiative through this portal is fully supportive of the guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for banking industry in its stated vision for 2006-07 and seeks to provide the tools for greater financial inclusion to Indian consumers.
